Trust is the whole point of RouteShare. Nobody gets a ✓ Verified badge without our team checking real documents.
🚐 Drivers
Before a driver can carry a single passenger, we review:
- South African ID document
- Driver's licence
- Professional driving permit (PrDP) — legally required to transport passengers for money
- Operating licence / permit
- Vehicle registration papers
- Roadworthy certificate
- Photos of the actual vehicle
🧍 Riders
Riders verify who they are with a South African ID, a selfie, and proof of address. Drivers always know who is getting into their vehicle.
🏭 Companies
Companies provide their company registration number and the ID of a contact person, so drivers and riders know the employer behind a route is real.
💰 Your money is protected
Riders pay from their RouteShare wallet, and the platform records every cent. Drivers earn per confirmed rider-week — so there's no handing cash to a stranger and hoping they show up on Monday.
⏱️ How long does verification take?
Upload your documents after signing up and our team reviews them, usually within one working day. Your dashboard shows your status the whole time: Pending → Verified.
